We're Attending the National Homebuilding & Renovating Show 2026 at the NEC Birmingham

March 16, 2026

If you’re currently sitting on a home project – an extension you've been putting off, a renovation you're not sure how to approach, or a new build that still feels like a distant dream – this weekend at the National Homebuilding & Renovating Show might be exactly the nudge you need!

Alexandra Powell, our Managing Director and Lead Architect here at Powell Design & Construction, has been invited to represent the Federation of Master Builders at this year's National Homebuilding & Renovating Show at the NEC Birmingham.

She'll be on the FMB stand (stand K127) this Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd March, offering free one-to-one consultations for homeowners at any stage of their planning.

What is the Homebuilding & Renovating Show?

The Homebuilding & Renovating Show is one of the UK's largest events for anyone with a home project in mind.

Held across multiple locations throughout the year, the NEC Birmingham show is its flagship event – bringing together hundreds of suppliers, specialists, and industry experts under one roof.

Whether you're in the early stages of research or ready to break ground, it's the kind of event that can genuinely accelerate your thinking and help you make better decisions.

Who are the Federation of Master Builders?

The Federation of Master Builders is the UK's largest trade association for small and medium-sized construction companies.

Being invited to represent them at an event of this scale is a reflection of the standard of work and professional credibility that PDC brings to every project. Alexandra will be on hand as an expert advisor – not to sell, but to genuinely help.

If you've been wanting to speak directly with an experienced architect and design and build specialist without the pressure of a formal meeting, this is the perfect opportunity.

Free one-to-one consultations on the stand

Bring your ideas, your sketches, your questions, or your concerns to the show this weekend. Alexandra can talk you through extensions, renovations, loft conversions, new builds, planning permission, budgets, timelines, and what to realistically expect at each stage of a project.

It's a straightforward conversation – and sometimes this is all it takes to move from months of uncertainty to a clear sense of direction.

Download our free Practical Guide for Extensions, Renovations & Builds

To celebrate attending the show, we've put together a free downloadable guide to help homeowners navigate the process from the very beginning.

It covers the first steps you should take, expert advice, and the questions worth asking before you commit to anything.

You can grab a physical copy at the stand, or download a digital version by scanning the QR code on the day – or you can download it directly from our website here.

Inside the guide, you'll also find a link to book a free 20-minute call with Alexandra if you'd like to continue the conversation after the show.

Can't make the show?

If you're not able to attend in person, the guide is still available to download for free, and Alexandra has opened up her calendar for a limited number of free home consultations. You can book your free 20-minute call via the download found here.

We hope to see you at the NEC Birmingham this weekend for the Homebuilding & Renovating Show 2026. Come and find us on the Federation of Master Builders stand, we'd love to talk!
